Who says new habits need to wait until January 1st? If you’re looking to kick off the New Year with a mocktail in hand, we have you covered with four delicious herbal beverages.
3 Fresh or frozen cherries (pitted)
1 oz Honey Simple Syrup (click for recipe)
1 oz Freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 oz Energy Tonic
2-3 oz Soda water
Ice and lime wedge for garnish
Muddle 3 pitted cherries with .5oz of Energy Tonic in a cocktail shaker or pint glass. Add 1oz lime juice, 1oz honey simple syrup, ice, and shake vigorously. Strain into rocks glass with fresh ice and garnish with fresh lime. Adjust lime juice and honey simple syrup by .5oz for taste. Enjoy!
1oz Rosemary Honey Simple Syrup (click for recipe)
3-4 oz grapefruit sparkling water, or 50:50 grapefruit juice and soda water

grapefruit wedge and rosemary sprig for garnish
Add Rosemary Honey Simple Syrup and grapefruit sparkling water to a lowball glass with ice. Stir. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and rosemary sprig and enjoy!
1 tbsp (0.5 oz) Turmeric Tonic
1oz Wild Mint Honey Simple Syrup (click for recipe)
3-4 oz ginger beer
ice
squeeze of fresh lime juice
lime wedge for garnish
Add Turmeric Tonic, Wild Mint Honey Simple Syrup, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice to a highball glass with ice. Pour ginger beer over ice and stir.
Or, use a cocktail shaker to combine everything and pour into your glass.
Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!
Makes 2 servings
4 tsp Tulsi + Rose Tea
Extra Rose Petals - dried
2-3 Cardamom Pods - dried
1 13.5 oz can Coconut Milk
2 cups boiling water
1/2 tsp Honey (optional)
Place 4 tsp in a jar and pour 2 cups of boiling water over tea. Let steep for 5-10 minutes. While tea is steeping take some extra rose petals and grind them in a spice grinder till a lovely powder, do the same with the cardamom, then add ground cardamom to the coconut milk and blend with a mixer until whipped and fluffy. Strain tea, add a dollop of coconut cream, and top with a sprinkle of rose petals.

There is magic and power in this pivotal time, noted by human civilizations throughout history and sanctified through ritual.
